Wife with a long history of mental illness, much I didn't learn about until we subpoenaed records, did the false OP and false DV thing, which successfully kicked me out of the house, kept me from my 3 small kids for months, and put me down a path of supervised visitation, etc.

I was really surprised that my attorney didn't want to fight the allegations, instead convinced me it was better to be low conflict, realize the court would very likely error on wife's narrative out of caution, and I was better off to just playing the long game.

The GAL has since told the judge on several occasions that he hasn't seen any evidence of my wife's accusations and doesn't have any concerns about me. Over time I've been given every other weekend with the kids and every Wednesday from 4pm until 8am (I take kids to school). They're 6,5,2 yo.

The problem is that this has taken forever, I'm exhausted emotionally, and my Adderall addicted wife is still relentless with false accusations, and doing everything she can to make my life hell. She plays low conflict in the OFW app, but it's pure covert narcissism.

While my attorney has been right about a lot of things, I've lost confidence in the low conflict approach. My wife has repeatedly violated court orders, most recently refusing to give me any information about the nanny that in exchange I was ordered to pay $1300 a month (50%) for. The court order literally said she has to give me the nanny's contsct info and she refused. Attorney has been saying he's going to file a motion for sanctions for weeks but still nothing.

She has also kept the kids from me on court ordered dates on multiple occasions, including on my 2yos birthday by waiting until the last minute and then sending me a message on OFW that she was too sick for a visit. Keep in mind, the day before she asked if I would reschedule the visit so she could have my 2yo on her birthday and I said no. So of course then the kid gets sick.

There has been at least a dozen times where she overly violated court orders and my attorney always says to let it go, save my money, and we can always roll out these violations at trial.

But now I feel like 'low conflict' just isn't a winning strategy with my wife because she knows she's getting away with shit and it's only encouraging her to do it more. And part of what she's doing is continuing to lie about the kids, what the kids say, etc and she's clearly still managing to poison the well with the GAL.

I'm seriously tempted to try a new attorney, a female mom that has a bone to pick with other women like my wife who abuse the courts, and go high conflict. File motions for contempt if my wife even looks at a court order wrong, file a lawsuit for her filing a false order of protection, etc.

Has anybody done similar? Fight fire with fire? I've read multiple stories about men who didn't make much progress until they decided to get as relentlessly high conflict as their crazy wives as it was only that level of hostility that kept their ex in line.
