On the flip side my stbx has 30-40k stashed away in a checking account and savings accounts but won't disclose them I have some of the account numbers, is that sufficient to get her ordered to produce or can she still deny

My exes attorney kept asking about a pension I did not have. I cooperated and provided anything asked for.

After the divorce I was like let me look into this ‘pension’ I kept being asked about? Thankfully I know now what I didn’t know before the divorce was filed. 😁

Trying to prove you own a well hidden asset, real or imaginary is very difficult. Tell him they are welcome to go to court and force disclosure

Just state, “your client is mistaken. I have no such assets.” Then do not respond.

In my case she did successfully hide such assets. In the grand scheme they really don’t matter.

I’m in the same boat, except they dug up accounts that have been closed for many years and have nothing in them. I’m still learning how to handle this, but my lawyer told me the burden will be on them to prove there are hidden assets, until it goes to court and take different dimensions.
