My soon-to-be-ex scheduled a medical appointment on a day that I have the children without asking me first. They set the appointment for the exact time I usually pick our child up from school. While childcare isn't currently an issue—since I have family members who have stopped working to spend time with their grandchildren—those family members still happen to work on the day this appointment was scheduled. I’m not sure why my ex chose that time, especially since I mentioned that only morning slots on certain weekdays work for my schedule and that I would contact the office to set the appointment up.

Beyond that, I never agreed to this. My ex reached out to say the therapist mentioned that two days of therapy per week might be a good idea, but I didn't agree because we had previously decided a few months ago to pause physical therapy until a follow-up medical appointment in May with a medical provider. The goal was to see if the therapy was still necessary. If the provider determined it was, services would continue through their affiliated hospital.

I was the one who originally set up the sessions and followed up after the referral last summer. Then, out of the blue a few weeks ago, my ex messaged me saying they had restarted the therapy sessions without updating me.

Since my ex decided to put our child on her insurance, I wanted her to check if these sessions were even covered. However, I never followed through with asking her because I changed my mind about wanting a second day of therapy; I didn't see the benefit, as our child is making great progress with the exercises and activities I do at home. I’m torn on whether or not to give my ex a heads-up, but they will certainly find out when they try to take our child to the appointment on their own time later this week.
