(Hey guys, bear with me, I need to vent ...)
It's been almost four years from DDay. Despite the brutal betrayal she inflicted, the ex- and I remain fair to each other for the sake of our small kids.
The one thing that still gets under my skin is when the Ex- sends me calendar invites stating, "hey I am traveling these days & weeks, if you cannot stay w/ the kids, I am asking the nanny to stay/care for them on these days & nights". Even if that is all true, i.e. I am unable to care for the kids on the days she is supposed to be w/ them, it pisses me off so much.
The thought of leaving my kids alone at care of someone else (even if I trust the caregiver) triggers my basic father protective instincts.
I know I shouldn't be bothered, but it triggers me so much. The anger and resentment are through the roof.
Any other guys have these thoughts? how have you handled this frustration ?
