I think "flirting" isn't one rigid thing. Sometimes gentle ribbing and teasing that would just be seen as friendly in a platonic setting can be "flirty" in a sexual/romantic setting purely because of the nature of the interaction. Generally being confident, relaxed in your own skin and authentic will be received well by basically anyone - it could be then labelled as being "flirty" or it could just be charisma/charm - as long as you're having fun - who cares?

Good. Because thinking of it is a competition is only going to hurt you. You're looking for a romantic relationship. Romance isn't a competition. Hook-ups can be, but that's not what you are trying to find.

Finding a romantic partner is a search. You're trying to find someone who is compatible with you and who you are compatible with.

You should be focused on the people you're interested in, not on any other guys (or girls) who might be interested in them also. If they reject you, that's just them not feeling you're compatible enough, or them not looking for a romantic thing right now. If they decide to go out with someone else, that's just them deciding that other person might be compatible with them.

You flirt to show off your sense of humor and your "sexy" side. You shouldn't be trying to be someone you're not, but instead trying to show off your best sides and at the same time letting the other person you're interested. You're not trying to "outdo" any competition. You're just trying to say: "hey this is me, this is how I make other laugh, and I think you're cute." Just try to convey that. However it is that you do that.

Lots of people find a quirky awkward flirt to be endearing and cute. Lots of people prefer that to someone who is "suave" or "smoldering."

It might take practice. It probably will involve being rejection. If you're doing it right, you'll also have to do some rejecting (which is twice as hard to be honest). That's just how it works.

My husband sucks at flirting and he got me. I find flirting annoying and can’t get really attracted to anyone without knowing if their intelligent, so we have to have a good connection.

I think you should be able to flirt if you want to get women interested in you. Granted, flirting is a skill that takes time to learn and you can get better at it gradually, so no sweat. Also, not all flirting looks the same; different people prefer different kinds of flirting, so even if you’re not a conventional flirt, you can ultimately find somebody who likes your style. There’s a world of middle ground between Red Pill “pickup tactics” and awkwardly pining after girls with needy compliments. I think confidence, humility, and genuine interest go a long way.

Yes it’s possible because I’m a terrible flirt and typically act terrified around attractive women. Flirting is a skill that requires practice. One way is to treat it just like you would a friendship. Smile, greet them when you see them, kind compliments (not on body parts), try to make them feel heard and understood, use validating statements, keep topics lighthearted, try to find shared interests.

I mean, it depends where and how you meet women. Basically every date I've ever been on has been with women I met on dating sites and I probably chatted them up fine but I don't think I did much "flirting" per se. Not right away anyway.

Yes every girl I’ve dated didn’t really care or actually didn’t like flirting or being flirted with.

Also personally as I get older(23) flirting or getting flirted with just feels weird.
