It's silly. Crying is a show of vulnerability and being vulnerable helps bring people closer together. It's required in a long term relationship. Redpill isn't geared towards long term, it's geared towards hookups.

With hookups in mind, yeah, you don't want strangers seeing you crying a lot because that will give them a poor impression of you.

So in short: blubbering randomly with people you barely know? No go. Crying with a trusted friend or partner? Of course!

"Men don't cry" is an old gender norm, due to outdated misogynistic ideas. It's ridiculous how many redpill guys will complain that they aren't allowed to cry, but they want to bring back old gender norms that tell them they shouldn't cry. Then they blame feminism. Lol wtf?

They wish society was more open to men showing emotions and crying. But they also want to be ultra macho? They wish guys were more receptive and open to sharing emotions with each other, but somehow this is something that women are to blame for? Men need to fix this problem amongst themselves. Quit putting each other down for showing emotion. Quit calling each other "gay" or "f@gg0t."

Believing in that crap is incredibly damaging to a person's wellbeing. Propagating this nonsense only feeds into an already terrible approach to men's mental health.

It's insane to seek out a relationship thinking hiding feelings is somehow going to make the relationship better. That's a total set up for failure.

Will all women, at all times, be open and attracted to any and all men when they cry? No, of course not. It depends on the individuals involved, the timing, the situation, the relationship, etc. etc.. But, jesus, thinking a woman will stop finding you attractive 'cuz you're capable enough (and manly enough) to express them honestly and openly... yikes.

Crying is a healthy way to process emotions. However, I don't disagree that it isn't attractive. It's not meant to be attractive, is an expression of emotion. I'm not in the camp that believes everything we do needs to be attractive.

So, I don't think the Redpill is wrong, but I do think they are wrong for caring.

If you feel like crying, cry.

I haven't cried in my adult life, even at times I should have like when my parents died. I am numb and unemotional. Not finding a mate in my younger years was very disappointing to me and it numbed me up towards everything else. The irony is while red pillers would admire me for not crying they would dislike everything else about me. I don't meet their definition of being a dominant real man.

I’d venture to say it’s probably not a good idea to be overly emotional with anyone (man or woman). Emotions get in the way of logical thinking so while it’s alright to feel them you should never let them cloud your judgement.

Can confirm. When I was in my third relationship, my grandfather passed away to cancer. I was devestated and cried a lot. Mostly on day it happend and on his funeral. My girlfriend pretended to care around others, but in reality, she just grew more and more distant, ignored me and made bullshit excuses. It let to the point she cheated on me with random guy at the bar.

Later when asked, she admited, she saw me less attractive after all that and wished I would have just "been more stoic" and "been a man".

So yeah.

Depends on the context. Grief is definitely ok, and so it should be.

Trouble is many younger men are too quick to shed tears, and sometimes for the most trivial reasons.

Men do cry, but just rarely in the vicinity of men who are not their bros, and especially women because it makes them look unattractive(who gets more women, soft nice guy or mysterious bad boy?).
Men tend to express emotions differently. Instead of crying(crying is essentially subconscious plea for help) they channel their emotions into work or some sort of activity and deal with their problems themselves.
