IDK if any of you have seen this AITA post(from last year). It was deleted by the mods of that subreddit and even made rounds on international news.....But if there is any situation that really does qualify as RedPilling, it is this. I got this image from a FB post and was somewhat relieved to see several thousand comments, 90% from women, expressing anger at this bitch and sadness/sympathy for the man as well as correctly pointing out that he deserves better.

But anyhow, what I really want to understand though is why....WHY would him confiding something horrible done to him when he was a child cause her to be turned off by him now that he's a buff adult? Is it really what happened to him or is it the fact that he showed weakness and vulnerability in front of her too early in the relationship?

I think that the reinforces the idea that men in particular should not reveal trauma to their female partners. They should find a good therapist who they can trust and work through it. As unfair as this may be, victim blaming seems to be something that most people do mechanically. I mean, victim blaming is totally WRONG.....But how can you know when you confide something like this if a person will be supportive or will hurt you the way she did to this guy? It just isn't worth the risk. You were hurt by the person you raped you so don't give someone else a chance.
