Why do red pill YouTube channels exist? They’re all sexist and should be removed from YouTube. On a side note I really love this subreddit. I really hope it always exists it’s helped me a lot.

Why are red pill channels started? Because it pays the bills. The men who get sucked into that sphere tend to be quite lucrative marks for all types of scams.

Why are they allowed on YouTube? Because it, like all social media companies, cares primarily about engagement and ad money, not morality. Any and all moderation of their site is to maximize its marketability - so long as red pill is marketable (and it is - plenty of advertisers are willing to sponsor red pill videos), that genre will persist on the site.

For this reason, targetting advertisers has always been the best strategy to force social media giants' hands on things like rampant misogyny, as well as other stuff. Complaining to YouTube directly has never resulted in any change and never will.

Because free speech laws, not sure how some are allowed in Canada if they are at all due to hate speech laws however.

I've been bewildered by this myself, especially because recently I've encountered some RP channels that are even more blatantly hateful than the ones I was familiar with. A lot of them are not only extremely misogynistic but especially disparaging of black women too, it's disgusting. This kind of rhetoric would never be allowed about trans people for example. I have no idea why Youtube is tolerating this stuff.

I think a big part of the problem is that collectively women aren't doing anything about this. They're getting away with it because no one's speaking up in large enough numbers to force these platforms to take any action. The few petitions I've seen have garnered only a couple thousand signatures, at most. Even though a lot of young women by now have a basic idea of what red pill is, most aren't familiar with the creators who are platforming this stuff besides Taint.

For all the bad things that can be said about RP and the related ideologies, the one thing that's undeniable is their huge effectiveness at uniting men. There's a complete absence of any kind of comparably sized movement of women, and while we definitely don't need a misandrist counterpart movement we just desperately need one that's fighting to stop the promotion of these hateful ideologies. Women need to collectively band together and demand the end of this sanctioned hatred.

YouTube already has troubles determining the line between balanced and extremist. They'll start messing with any page that has their interpretation of sexism then bam!!

A broad list of channels get striked. Now they're dealing with the 1st Amendment and Congress again.

I agree there shoud be more censorship. This is not my usual position but things are getting out of hand. I know Youtube demonetizses most of these videos and shadow bans them through the algorithm but the channels seem more popular then ever. Lately you see the Jerry Springer talk show model with many outlandish guests who the RPers roast and get superchats from (I heard YT can take up to 30% of that revenue). It a game of cat and mouse with the app guidelines and most of these RPers are coming in disguise as dating shows or relationship conversations. The entire audience is hard core red pill and doesn't want to talk they want to judge and hold women accountable i.e. the guests are insulted but in less derogatory ways - called out on issues of fairness and double standards rather than straught being called foul names.

How do you determine the line between sexism and different view?

If one says "women like confidence" should they be banned? What if someones uses the term "alpha men" instead? If one says that "wome find less people attracitve" should they be banned"? What if someone says the same but also quantifies it by saying "women find 20% of men attractive", should they ban them?

It's not as easy as you think, Red Pillers don't go around explicitly saying "women are inferior", sometimes they don't even label themselves as "Red Pill" but say the exact same things RedPillers say.

They’ve banned them and they just come back repackaged. Fresh and Fit were removed and all getting removed did was give them a bigger audience when they rejoined. Then they got on rumble and that gives a direct connection to far right nonsense. The red pill movement is essentially a hydra at the moment. Cut off one head spawn 10 more.

Most of them don’t really get that many views to matter. It wasn’t until hamza, fresh and fit, sneako, and tate that things got out of hand.

Before a couple years ago, red pill was exclusively for a small group of men that came together to hate women.

But now it went alt right mainstream.

And sadly now millions of children are brainwashed.

Freedom of speech mostly.

I’m happy that there are opposing views and debates. Just like women are free to post FDS content.

So long as they’re not breaking any laws, it’s fine, they should be allowed to voice their opinion.

It doesn’t mean it’s right. Or that it works. Or that it attracted healthy partners.

Hopefully, a lot of their content is aimed at self improvement rather and walking away from people that are not interested in you, rather than dating advise.

What should not be on there and hopefully is removed, is black pill content, basically promoting self harm or giving up.

I can’t say I’ve ever seen it on there or gone looking for it though.

And from what I’ve seen of rp videos, they’re mostly the same couple of videos, reworded and reposted every few days. There no new content. Even if you’re in to RP it’s a phase and you burn out after a while. Usually it attracts those in the anger phase of a break up, after a couple of months they get bored of it and move on.

I f***ing hate the 33 secrets myself, but if we censor him for being 'sexist', who's stopping the higher ups for moving the goalposts on what is deemed sexist next?

If that's the case then next I'll be censored on my Youtube channel for being a bigot that I (biological woman) don't wanna 'suck girld!vk.'
