Gaming as a diversion (aka limited in time and scope) can be fine, but the problem is when it becomes your whole personality which is clearly what this app is trying to encourage. I like games like Animal Crossing, Sims, Stardew Valley, Minecraft. Would I want to date a person who devotes all of their free time to playing games? Absolutely not. It’s one dimensional and it’s boring. The less time you spend engaged with reality the harder it is to accept it and the more bitter and cynical you become. No thank you! ✋
