just because someone has a degree, it doesn't necessarily mean they are smart.
Having a bachelor's degree is no real indication of a person's skills or intelligence, especially in this age, where the acquiring of one is a base requirement for many careers. You have to do so much more nowadays to prove yourself to a worthy employer anyway.
Many people make the fundamental attribution error that just because someone is particularly knowledgeable in one field, that this person must be knowledgeable in all fields. Ross et al.'s (1977) study demonstrates this very well.

Honestly, people who go to University are so irritating and struck up (base off my experiences with some people). I switch to community college best decision I made. I realize don't ever date someone who thinks they better then everyone just because they went to University. I find it mind boggling especially people who literally go in majors like social work or what not and they act like they above people with less education then them. Like dude you shouldn't even have those feelings especially if you working with people who don't have access to the education you recieved.

I got pregnant when I was 15, dropped out of school in 9th grade (because my POS 21 year old baby daddy told me I had to and I was too young and groomed to fight back.)
Anyway, I got my GED and then made it into college. I stuck with community college using the Pell Grant and some scholarships. I adored my experience there, and left school with no debt! I absolutely LOVED my experience and finished college at the same time I would have if I hadn't dropped out.
My point is that I loved community college plus the lack of debt, but I'm so proud of that part of my life story, and it's one that I rarely get to share, so I wanted to do it here ;) My son is 14 now and we're so close <3

Aw! yes there literally people in University taking pity on us college students/grads because we attended college. It's weird how these people don't realize there various reasons we choose college over University and many of us don't regret the decision! I am planning to do University in the future but part time so I don't have to full time deal with these people lol. Also, I'm planning to try a different University then the last one I attended. I honestly feel a smaller University or a University that's not in a major city would be better for me and I have a better experience then the last time.

Hey fellow successful high school dropout! I ended up really happy with my college experience, even though I was depressed as hell to go to such an "inferior" school at first. I ended up getting a full scholarship to an Ivy League grad program after that; you can totally make the most out of whatever school you end up in, and given how expensive tuition is and that you aren't even guaranteed a job upon graduation, why not save some serious money?
It's also great because if you go to a community college or small state school for your undergrad, your classmates are usually busting their asses to do their best because they have kids or jobs and often have high aspirations to continue their education as far as possible. When I went to my big deal grad school, I was so excited about having classes with the best and the brightest, but barely any of those privileged brats even did their homework sufficiently enough for class discussion. 🙄
