LVM love to argue that 50/50 relationships are fair because women have "so many privileges". Here's a reminder that you'll be able to read whenever their brainwashing starts working on you and it becomes hard for you to stick to your standards:
The exhaustion and the hardship that you feel sometimes just from trying to survive in society as a woman is completely valid. You're not overreacting. And you're not being unfair when you demand that a man provides in a relationship.
Men grow up in a world where they're not heavily judged based on how nice, young and cute/childlike they are.
They grow up in a world where they're not often treated like objects with a value that depends on how many people they've slept with.
They grow up in a world where they don't have to worry about being physically violated anywhere near as much as women do because they're physically stronger.
They grow up in a world where they don't deal with ANY of the physical burdens of reproduction, from periods to pregnancy to childbirth and aren't made to feel embarrassed by them.
And to top it all off, people respect men more than women in general. They listen more when men talk, they are more reactive to what men do and say and they give men the props that they deserve when they accomplish something. They don't go "yeah, he's super succesful and rich and that's cool and all but he should smile more and lose some weight or he'll end up all alone!".
Yes, men have some downsides, like not getting custody of the kids as often, being taken less seriously as victims of sexual harrassment or domestic abuse etc but the things that they complain about are either rare or they're just the other side of the coin of a huge privilege that they have. Like for instance, male victims of domestic violence from women receive less help because there are less of them and men are physically stronger than women so they're generally less helpless in such a situation, men get custody less often because men also take care of the kids less often, people don't worry about men who experience sexual harrassment from women as much as the reverse because men are sexually objectified way less often so it is far less likely to be intimidating and traumatizing for them. It's politically incorrect to say all this but it's common sense and it's the truth, period. This doesn't mean that men don't deserve help or that they don't have real problems, it means that men still have an advantage on average despite the legitimate issues that they face.
So many LVM talk about the bad sides of being a man without at all acknowledging the positives (that far outweigh the bad) and that's how they manage to get women to feel bad for them and to sacrifice themselves for them, even though women go through worse.
LVM also say that women are privileged because "men don't get to show emotions", "men have to be strong", "men don't get emotional support like women". First of all, women have to be strong and independent too. The overwhelming majority of the population, male or female, has to be strong in order to be a functional adult in this society. If you're unproductive, negative and you victimize yourself a lot, people will get tired of you quickly, no matter your gender. And if they're more forgiving towards women, it's only by an extremely small margin.
Second of all, yes, women tend to find excessive displays of weakness more unattractive in a mate than men do (because that mate generally won't be a good provider if he's weak obviously) but if that fact is so hard for men to handle, why don't men build more safe spaces just for men where they can vent and seek advice on how to be a man without having to worry about a woman's opinion? Why not build friendships with men were they can talk about their feelings, instead of not vetting their male friends properly and then forcing women to solve the loneliness that they experience because of their own choices?
Men can have a support system like women if they put in the effort to build one with other men. But having great friendships requires you to be a genuinely interesting person, as there is no physical attraction that can make the friendship continue if you're not compatible.
Are LVM putting in the work to be genuinely interesting people? No. They understand that men don't want friendships with people who don't work on themselves, but they get mad at women for not settling for that in a relationship. Instead of using male spaces as places where they teach each other how to respectfully handle the responsibility that comes with being a man, they prefer to use their male spaces to circlejerk about how women are demons for respecting themselves and putting themselves first. And of course they don't get mad at their fathers and other male figures for not preparing them for manhood properly, they only attack women.
Furthermore, men are usually loyal to their gender, so it shouldn't be hard for a man to build meaningful friendships with other men if he puts in the effort to be a well-rounded and interesting person. Men generally work together to support whatever serves men's best interest. On the other hand, when women look for friends that they can trust, they not only have to worry about men working against their best interests, but also about other women (pickmes) working against them. That can actually make it harder and more stressful for a woman to find support and true friendship.
Women don't just deal with sexism in romantic relationships, sexism is in the casual jokes that their family members make, it's in the gendered slurs that their friends use, it's in the ads that they see in the media, it's in the storylines of the female characters from their favorite sitcoms, so many things subtly chip away at the self-esteem of the average woman. Meanwhile the average man almost only has to worry about being held to sexist standards when he's trying to get laid, but somehow they still manage to believe that they are the bigger victims of oppression.
The LVM's last argument against male privilege is that "male privilege only applies to Chad", even though everyone knows that that's not true. Yes, you'll be less privileged if you're physically unattractive as a man but, newsflash, the same is true for women! Men treat women very differently based on whether they're a Stacy or not too, so why are they so shocked and surprised and hurt when they see that women do the same with men? Low emotional intelligence, that's why.
When you listen to what LVM say and your judgment is not clouded by the fear that you'll end up alone if you don't give them what they want, you realize that they make no sense at all. They're just spewing hypocritical emotional garbage (while ironically saying that men are 'so logical' and women are the emotional ones).
So don't let LVM and pickmes gaslight you into thinking that you should be spending your precious time babying men on top of everything else you already have to do as a woman. A high value boyfriend will automatically vent about "female privilege" elsewhere if he needs to, not to you, because he'll know that talking to you about it might make you feel guilty and make you feel like you have to lower your standards even though you shouldn't. Some HVM will even feel embarrassed to let you pay because they know that it's harder for you to earn your money as a woman, and they know that pretending that this inequality doesn't exist is very unattractive.
The audacity that dusties have to demand 50/50 with no shame is not normal. If a guy complains about how hard it is to be a guy and how much it saddens him that he has to pay to date, just say "Oh that's unfortunate" and then keep your standards just as high as they were before he said that. Put yourself first and be unapologetic about it.
