Our little sub gets shit on a lot for having the audacity to insist that men put forth effort. For the uncreative, effort simply seems like a euphemism for "money". Most of us have met incredibly low value people who have lots of money so we can deduce that this isn't true. Like I've stated previously, what we as High Value Women want is effort.

Let me tell you a little story about the best first date I ever went on. I was 19, he was 20 (I'll call him Caleb), and we were both broke college students. Obviously Caleb didn't have the funds to take me anywhere lavish, but he did something better. We met at the dorms and he was carrying two large grocery bags.

Now I'm in the social work field and helping people has always been something I'm passionate about. This was true then, too: I was volunteering at an immigrants rights center and a homeless shelter at the time, and he knew that it was important to me. So out of the bag, Caleb pulls two deli sandwiches and chips for him and I, and the rest of the bags were completely filled with loaves of bread, sandwich fixings, apples, blank cards and, ziplock bags and paper bags. We spent the next 2 hours talking, laughing, and making care packages and cards for the homeless, and then the next two hours driving around passing them out.

This is the absolute fucking definition of a High Value Man. While we didn't end up together for completely amicable reasons, Caleb now works for one of the biggest tech companies of all time, making tons of money with a beautiful wife and daughter. We're still friends and I'm glad that I know him.

Caleb used what he had to do what he could, and supplemented for his lack of funds by truly tailoring our time to me as a person. He took what he know and made it special, all the while spending $30 max. If men spent half the time planning dates as they do finding new hentai to shame-masturbate to, the dating game would change drastically.

So yes, the only reason you need a ton of money to treat a woman with effort is if you fundamentally lack creativity. Money is important because it's an indicator of work ethic, responsibility, maturity and your long-term partner potential, but having money is not a personality and you can't buy a woman's respect. Our money is a reflection of our values, and if a man is spending his money on Twitch streamers, porn and video games -- but not on you? Baby girl what is you doin'?

And for those of you younger sisters who are confused because the pool of men you're dating aren't in the financial or career place to be spending a ton of $$$ on you, don't worry. Date lots of people, don't feel compelled to find "the one" during this formative time in your life, and focus on becoming a HVW. The man you're supposed to be with should hopefully be leveling up too. :)
