Anyone ever see what happens when a sports team changes their uniforms? Men can absolutely tell the difference between colors when it's something they care about.

This test can be applied in so many ways- and the proof is ALL OVER sitcoms and movies. For deciding on paint colors for rooms cause he doesn't care what color the room is and then makes fun of her for being torn between 2 shades of white. Or use wedding dresses! Ivory or cream? Or pick out an outfit and ask for an opinion on the color to see what he thinks about colors?

Actually there’s a biological reason for this. Lots of men are color blind because the gene for red-green color blindness (the most common kind) is on the X chromosome. Women inherit 2 X chromosomes, so even if one X holds the gene for color blindness, the second gene will counteract it.

Not only that, but a small group of women have what is called tetrachromacy, which allows them to see colors that the rest of us cannot.

I’m not surprised that historically, “masculine” art in the west has favored form over color. On average, women can see more colors than men.

A weird but oddly positive trait about my partner is how he gets excited if i say a fancy word before a color, though it's probably because he has a shoe addiction. However bad or good this is, it certainly matches his lack of toxic masculinity and i think this pattern is pretty bullet proof considering how most, if not all cultures for some reason associate color with women
