I am happy Kim is the level of celebrity to have 24/7 seriously good security because what he’s been doing is terrifying. As a mother, releasing her kids into his care must be so scary. You have no idea what he might do. I hope she has escalated her legal strategy.

Even more triggering, for me, has been seeing the LVM helping him as he becomes increasingly abusive. It all seems to be men colluding. The person who tipped him off about his daughters party that he wasn’t invited to? Man. The person who passed on Kim’s new number? Man. It reminds me so much of the men who made excuses for my abuser and shrugged off behavior they saw with their own eyes.

The fact that there are enabling comments when he is openly talking in violent language is very disturbing to me. This is exactly the kind of language people use before they try some kind of “if I can’t have her, nobody can” tactic.

I think a lot of the sympathy is coming from misplaced hate against the Kardashians as well.

A lot of people dislike Kim and Kris (and as an extension, their kids) for both warranted/valid and unwarranted reasons, and is using it to cloud their judgement of the situation.

They find this situation funny because it's Kim at the end of the crossfire. On some social media pages, there were people saying things like "Kim is getting what she dsserves" and "She knows what she was getting into"--And by pointing it out, I'm not saying that I agree. Oh no.

People should be able to discern that the behavior he's showing isn't cute, funny, or healthy in slightest, and keep their dislike for Kim separate.

Of course, I see sympathy also coming from people who wouldn't know what a healthy relationship is, even if it bonked them in the head. A lot of these people watched too many movies or saw this shit growing up where abusive or absent men would woo their mothers/the or partners back in with gifts and love bombings and it worked.

With no other examples and a lack of reasoning/therapy, people think that these antics are cute and not creepy in the slightest.

And taking the onus off of women, who probably just don't know better, I see the most sympathy coming from men who would never take violence against women seriously unless someone ends up dead, and even then that's iffy because they'll make comments like, "Well she pushed him too it", "that's what she gets for playing with his heart", "Should have just taken him back"

After typing all of this, you're assessment isn't wrong either, there's a lot of factors coming into play in regard to how much sympathy Kanye is getting, and I really wish people will cool down on throwing around mental illness. Sure this might be a result if him being diagnosed with bipolar disorder, but it should bot be tolerated in any capacity. And if it's making him act in such a way, more people need to be advocating for him to get better treatment.

Luckily, I think a lot more people are "waking up" though, because I'm starting to see more and more call outs.
