“If the technology to give a numerical value to a person’s stress capacity and ability to work was invented today, would it be more fair to adjust their required working hours based on that number, or to keep the hours the same?”

The answer you’re looking for is the first one.

I’ve been asking this question for a decade and what I’ve noticed is that anyone who answers “keep them the same” also show a lack of empathy and compassion in other areas, struggle with critical thinking, and hold conservative beliefs. They were also overwhelmingly male.

This works one on one, but where it shines is to bring it up in a mixed-sex group where it can become a discussion, because you want to find out how much they’re willing to back their argument.

If you have other belief-revealing questions/tactics I would love to hear them!
