I always hated cory’s character. He’s just this painfully average guy surrounded by all these good looking, charismatic, and/or intelligent people who carry him through life just for existing. Topanga was always thousands of leagues above him in every way. This episode is a far cry from the “chick like me” episode where they actually call out sexual harassment/assault.

The only lesson I (vaguely) remember from that show was a good one.

Cory and Topanga get married and end up in a crappy flat. They ask for money from his/her (?) parents, and they're essentially told "Nope, you're married now and that means you're responsible for your own well-being. You made the adult decision to be wed so now you have to be adults." Now, I'm not against parents helping their kids, but I appreciated the message that making adult choices can mean adult consequences.

Omg I recently tried watching Dawson’s creek and stopped after I think the 2 min mark in the first episode? Thanks to FDS I noticed how gross it was that the main character was convincing the other main character to push her boundaries for him and to sleep in the same bed together when they’re just friends. She was clearly saying she was very uncomfortable with that since they’ve been friends since childhood and they’re teens now. Apparently these two characters were the main couple of the show? No wonder women get raped all the time. These men legit think it’s completely normal and women are super gaslight about their experiences with shows like these.

Also, I can't stand that she's interested in having a good wedding and honeymoon, and wants to plan accordingly, and all he can do is scream about his entitlement. Is she going to pack his lunches for him too, while he screams about what sandwich fillings he wants?
