Ew. Just to prevent this in my country heavily pregnant women are left at their maternal house. My country is self aware culturally that men don't take care of their wives and they are better off at their maternal homes.

Typically in my house we hire a caretaker to take care of the infant for the first couple of months. Also the new mother gets herbal bath and good home care at her house. Though a lot of father's do come and stay at their wives homes during this time.

Please just shoot me if I ever end up with a man like this. I always get annoyed when people bypass a lack of social abilities or the ability to take care of themselves if the man was smart enough. To me that’s just bullshit. What good does being smart bring if you don’t have the ability to take care of yourself and reach out to others in a proper way.
