I mean, don't pretend to be something you're not, but be confident - sit up tall, make eye contact, etc. Dressing well and feeling good about how you look will help you boost your confidence. For me, this includes make up, doing my hair, putting together a nice outfit that's not too provocative.

Approach the date as something fun, try not to be too nervous. Also, avoid overly sexual topics and innuendos, discussing your exes and past sexual history, or any trauma or mental health issues you might have. Prepare for shit to pop off, just in case...

Bring your own money even if he's paying.
Make sure someone knows where you are, who you're with and what time you'll be home.
Don't drink any alcohol. You don't need to have lowered inhibitions on the first date. Never leave your food or drink unattended or consume one he brings to you.
Meet him there! Don't let him pick you up and definitely don't pick him up.
Observe and listen twice as much as you talk. You're still screening him.

Treat it like a job interview. He needs to land the role. Do you have a job description in mind / a checklist? It helps to write it down before you even meet. If he doesn’t meet an item on your list.. next.

-only go if he sets a time, place and date that agrees with you.

-Come fashionably (5-10 minutes) late and DON’T apologize. See how he reacts. Is he anxious and excited and waiting for you in anticipation? Or is he flipping out and angry? You see how invested he is in you. If he’s late- don’t even bother seeing him again.

-don’t even try. dead serious. don’t prepare any topics, don’t read up on his hobbies. It’s not a job interview. 💼

-talk less, talk slower and calm down. It’s better to say less and leave him wondering and wanting more than to over share.

-let him know if he does something rude or makes an inappropriate joke. Call him out and lay down the law. Don’t let him get away with it because it’s “the first date”. ❌

get what you like and don’t feel guilty or ask the price.

-your only job is to determine if you want to see him again. And not in a pity date kind of way.

-if you leave the date feeling better about yourself, ravished, it’s worth a shot. If you leave the date feeling drained, confused, angry, unsafe...don’t see him again.

I'd say that you should be on the look-out for red flags. Guys reveal them really easily during the first date and it will make it easier for you to vet them.

YOU showing up is 90% of the job well done. Your guy could have been spending his evening at home watching Netflix with a beer and microwave pizza. Instead, he had been blessed by the presence of a goddess. 👑 A woman who smells nice, has beautiful hair, soft skin, laughs at some of his jokes. You being there is an HONOR for him. You don’t even realize how much that means to a man 😉 I just had to add this as a mindset to help combat with your first date shyness.

If he asks to go Dutch say you think it's more romantic if one person pays and then promise him you'll pay next time. He will pay but then make sure there is no next time. Men always have to pay.

Wear clothes that are cute but that you feel comfortable in. Be yourself and pay attention to his words and actions. If he shows any signs of a red flag don't date him again.

Remember you are the prize. Don't bust into pickme mode and make sure he is putting the effort into the conversation not you. Enjoy being chased and bask in your feminine energy.

People may get mad at my advice but I have pretty bad anxiety and this stuff is hard for me. What helps me with dates is having a drink or 2. You don’t wanna get drunk but maybe a little buzzed. It helps take the edge off and I feel more confident. Then by the 3rd date, I feel comfortable and don’t need a drink!

Don’t look at it as a date. Imagine how you’d feel if the person wasn’t that great and the date has already happened. My saving grace was “well at least I got to eat dinner... see a movie I’ve been wanting to see... drink.” Put more focus on the actual activity and try to make the most of it
