Are you sure 1. is definitely referring to fake tan? Because a lot of Irish guys have a problem if you've had sex with or dated a black guy. I was asked this question by so many of my old Irish bfs. And "gone black" is a common saying for having sex with a black person. Racism is pretty rampant in Ireland, any kind of foreigners are looked upon as lesser in some areas. I was not accepted as being Irish by my community despite being born and raised there, because my parents are English.

Edit: found the answer! The 8th amendment in Ireland is what made abortion illegal. 8th amendment in the US is barring cruel & unusual punishment. Just my American centric brain being American :P
