I was sitting at a stop light today with my windows up and the music on and this dude (totally fat military scrote that w a way too good looking for him in shape tiny girl) was in his car SCREAMING at this poor woman. He was so loud I though someone was blasting heavy metal. Nope. Dude was FLIPPING the fuck out on this poor woman who was visibly terrified (her “unforgivable sin” was asking for clarification about plans and him claiming she ruined his day by wanting to go over it again, I shit you not). I rolled down my window and yelled at him, “SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU ABUSIVE PIECE OF SHIT” and dude immediate stopped. I’m sitting there looking at all the cars around us, all male drivers just ignoring it and go “SERIOUSLY? How fucking hard was that For me to do? SHAME.” Light turned green and abuser peeled off in his shitty JEEP wrangler with ‘MERICA stickers all over it and other dudes around me ignored it. Any time a dude on Reddit claims they “stand up to other dudes all the time” they are lying. I can not count the amount of times in my 38 years a woman was being publicly and privately abused, shamed, shit on, etc and not a single god damn dude has even bothered to just tell the abuser to even fucking tone it down. Hell even when I was being raped in my house my two dude roommates just turned up the tv volume until one of their girlfriends knocked on the door after I screamed “no” and “help” for two straight hours. These are all “nice” guys, that just sit aside and ignore abuse. Fuckers.

And for the shitty “nice guy” lurkers? Doing that literally put my life in danger. I’m in a gun friendly state, dude is military and had gun stickers on his car. He absolutely was carrying a gun. For fucks sake the other day a guy two Mike’s from me shot a woman (in front of her children) just for inadvertently cutting him off.

Men will never fear for their life for simply telling a dude to “not do that” when they scream so loudly at their girl he bursts blood vessels in his eyes. NEVER. Dudes have no god damn excuse to sit silently other than continuing to want to benefit from it.

Exactly why men will jump in and say "not all men" if women say something negative about men but you won't hear them say "not all women" when someone says anything bad about women. Even the "good" men stay quiet when someone says something misogynistic because they know that it allows them to reap the benefits of the terror that the bad men instill into women, while still looking like good guys. And yet they will never admit that if you call them out on it.
