I chalked it up to reproductive coercion when I first heard about it. I read in Loving to Survive that 70% of het women consent to regular sex just purely on the idea that it’s expected to them in marriage. As for your friends, probably baby traps so that they have a place to stay.

I feel as soon as the restrictions end and society gets back to normal, many of these relationships will deteriorate, some will end abruptly and quite quickly, others will be drawn out. They want to trap women for their benefit, even if it means getting a woman pregnant.

Idk not in my circle. My single friends and I have been single this whole time. I think the men I’ve dated in the past are either blocked or are decent enough not to poke around just because they’re bored. Aside from one man I dated 15 YEARS AGO who is now married with kids tried DM’ing me, but I just ignored. I actually don’t personally know any pandemic relationships that are still going strong. There were a few at the start, but they fizzled quickly.

I think a lot less women are okay with the casual sex and being strung along. I’ve reflected and realized all the ways I’m not taking care of myself and cut out toxic relationships. I know many people who’ve said the same. A lot of men are being cut off because of this.
