I HATE yelling. It upsets me like literally nothing else does after a childhood of it. Even if it's directed at someone else. Learning that I didn't have to put up with it and listen to it was freeing. I'll straight up walk out until you can communicate like a reasonable human being.

Same here. It is very triggering. I had enough of that, stomping down stairs, banging doors etc. The silent treatment is another one. My mother would use that on me for weeks at a time. I won't tolerate it in adulthood.

Women feel fear when they hear a man yelling. Their instinct is to flee because there is no telling what a man will do if he escalates. Men just don’t get this.

Imagine you’re in an enclosed space with a wild animal that’s larger than you, and it starts roaring and aggressively posturing. Obviously you’d expect it’s about to physically attack. How do they not get that that’s what they look like when they do the same thing? They literally expect us to be mindreaders.

My ex would get in my face & yell at the top of his lungs, I honestly think he was role playing as a drill Sargent (we were both military). I endured for 20 yrs, until I said no more. Him: Can't we try & work it out? Me: I've been for 20 yrs!

Omg this was me just an hour ago walking through my daughter's school to grab something. The security guard yelled at me from 50 feet away because he couldn't see my visitor pass. I'm not proud of it but he definitely got this look while I waved it around obnoxiously 😂

The other day I gave my friend and her children a lift to the supermarket. I parked in one of the mother and children spaces, waited there for them to come back as I was taking them home. I see this male security guard walk by in my wing mirror then stop and try to look through my tinted windows! Them he starts shouting at me about how I had no children and couldn't park there. I looked at him in pure astonishment. I didn't feel like explaining myself and just told him to fuck off. He went and sat in the smoking shelter, he didn't bother me again.

He was so aggressive and there was no need for it. I had a right to be there and instead of just going to the smoking shelter for his break like the other staff, he decided to look for a fight and bully me. I'm so sick of being subjected to male aggression when I go out.
