Never send nudes! And make sure if you have sexual relationships with anyone that phones, tablets, everything with a camera, is in a drawer. Some guys illegaly film them by hiding them.

As nice as this sounds, it’s almost certainly fake... at least if it’s in the US.

Example: defamation of character involves saying something untrue about another person. There are other factors to consider, too. But posting nudes, while disgusting, isn’t saying something untrue about another person. Also, one of the reasons why “revenge porn” is so hard to prosecute is that the courts have to establish that the boyfriend (in this case) took the picture and uploaded it to the internet with the intent to harm the woman.

The court wouldn’t just hear this case and award somebody 10K. There would be a lot of hoops to jump through. Frankly, a person who doesn’t know the laws would never win a case like this. You would need an attorney. And guess where that 10K is gonna go? To your attorney.

It’s not a horrible idea to take a shitty dude to civil court but you would NEVER just roll up, tell your story to the judge, and get 10K. The case would probably take more than a year to litigate and you would need to retain an attorney at great expense to help you out.

Also don’t send nudes. Aged 29, have never sent nudes to anyone, not even to my husband. (I mean what’s the point of that anyway he gets to see me naked everyday)

And you know what? I don’t regret it. I feel sorry for women who have their naked body just out there like that. Even if the dude they send it to doesn’t leak them there are other ways they could end out there :/
