In which “chivalry” no longer means “men treating women with the highest ideals of romanticism and having honourable standards for their own male behaviour” but instead means “women serving men like fawning, eager slaves”. Chivalry had nothing to do with women's behavior, and especially not this fetish Handmaid's Tale fucking nonsense. Chivalry was a custom developed FOR MEN'S BEHAVIOR to reinforce allegiance and loyalty. When it came into the court, it was a behavior set of etiquette standards for men because many were, frankly, poorly fucking behaved around women.

Women already knew how to behave in a civil manner, and they had no need of the battlefield aspect of chivalry, so telling girls to keep their heads down and not speak and act like their feet are bound is.... at BEST, a gross misunderstanding of history. At worst, it's some incel's wet dream.

Why is chivalry something that is taught in school in the first place? And it is outrageous that the assignments given to girls were to please the boys so they get prizes. I am just outraged by this and my kids weren't involved in this lesson at all. The only glimmer of hope I have is that the school board came to their senses and decided that this lesson should be pulled.

Disgusted but not surprised. Conditioning humans that need protection, nurture and understanding from such a young age to follow narratives that have not progressed humanity nor enabled it to inspire anything other than enforced stereotypes and deep unhappiness.

You only get the one life , unless you believe in Hinduism, Buddhism, Jannsm or Sikhism and even at that; you probably don’t want to waste a life, doing things that fail to serve you and result in anything less than happiness.
