When you get down to the core of FDS it's really about searching for our own standards and having respect and being open to men that have at bare minimum the same standards. Everything circles back to this.

At any point you're feeling unsure about a man - use introspection and ask yourself "would I do the same thing to him?" If it's not the way that you would treat a future husband, if it's not something you would say or how you would act, then it IS a red flag.

Here's an example. I did a little predate vetting and agreed to met this guy for a dinner date. The first date checked all the boxes and I thought to myself I would be willing to go on a second date. He had made it clear to me before leaving that he would like to see me again and that he would be in contact. about 4 days after the date he just stopped texting. The next day came and when I was on break saw that he still hadn't responded. It had been more than 24 hours. ...so I asked myself "would I leave a potential husband on read for 24+ hours? Never! It takes 2 seconds to send a quick text and let them know you're busy! I always make time to at least let the other person know I'm busy." Well I had my answer. Cue the block and ghost.

This is also great for things he says and I'm using inspiration from other posts now, maybe you got a new job and share the good news with him. Maybe he responds with a one word "cool" or "damn son now you're gonna have even more shit to deal with" .... both of which throw me off and have me thinking wtf. Ask yourself "if he started a new job is this the way I would respond? Absolutely not! I would say something like congratulations and be asking about more about it, maybe even offering to celebrate."

Bonus example: he sees a photo of you with your cat on the left and he says "I didn't know you were so hairy (and points to the cat)" or he says "I didn't know that was you on the left!" These type of responses threw me off, because that's not how I would ever respond to future husband if he showed me a pet pic. Negs aren't always obvious and using introspection can help you more quickly take note of yellow and red flags.

Studies have proven that people that have more things in common and similar views are more compatible than people that are more different. Introspection is a good quick strategy to stay on your toes.
