this was badass. her ability to focus and just keep firing when people were interrupting her was amazing. i wish i could watch her takedown some misogynistic american politicians with fragile egos. pathetic that tony abbott was then elected prime minister after this speech- very Trumpian.

Wow, I could Not turn away- I had no idea what the context was (besides the key points she mentioned) - but I found myself relating to EVERY ARGUMENT SHE MADE. Here’s to more women like this standing up to sexism & misogyny in the govt & modern Australian society- but setting an example for women EVERYWHERE.

I’m so tired of laughing uncomfortably at stupid sexist remarks, hypocrisy of blaming others before blaming yourself & double standards galore. I hope that guy pissed himself and his asshole friend Mr Slipper, too. Best speech I’ve seen in AGES.

Edit: looked it up, realized it was about Tony Abbot - he Did end up pissing himself “used to be a politician.” 💯

The leader of the opposition has such a punch-able face. He is smirking, rolling his eyes and sighing while she’s pointing out all the shitty things he’s said and done and all he can do is stare with those beady snake eyes.
