After my narcissistic abusive ex broke my hand during an argument, and I had to drive myself to urgent care to get myself taken care of, his only apology 2 months later was...

"I'm sorry for what happened to your hand. I really think if we both worked on respecting each other, we could make this work."

Mind you, he has a pending court case due to this... And I just love how it's "what happened to your hand", still not taking ownership or responsibility for what he did by using the proper pronouns and verbs in his apology.
