Think about how many "nice guys" expect to be fawned over because they treat others with basic human decency. In their minds, there always has to be a reward for anything, even if it's just simple kindness.

i was very fat as a child, i lost the weight when i turned 20. its like night and day how the men treat you. men dont see us as full human beings, everything is transactional, they are only kind if they think you are worthy of their valuable time. men treated me like i was invisible when i was fat the second i lost that weight suddenly they were holding doors for me or wanting to do favour for me

Honestly, as a now older woman who's always been rather plain and average-okay looking (and who just never got into wearing makeup; breaks me out... my skin is super sensitive), this is too true. I also grew up fat, and although I'm now a "small fat" and much more proportional... still. If the first metric a man uses to see if I'm "worth" knowing is looks? Oh please. Spare me. As an INTJ, what you see physically is very much what you get. There are universes inside.

What creeps me out and disgusts me about some men is that vapid, vacant, complete lack of curiosity about women as people, especially as well-developed people. Take me, I'm educated (BA and MA), cultured, traveled (29 countries), well-read, had two careers (journalist and English teacher), been married twice, and have tons of life experience. And yet... the most "important" metric is looks? Yeah, right. Move along.

Yep, you really know the truth about men after glow ups. That’s why I’ve never felt bad about having standards now, because I remember how I was treated before I grew into my looks.

Men will literally shit on your fat friend when she's not in the hearing range. Or will annoy her with "well- intended" advice on how to lose weight.

Dump that man.

And if your bf makes fun of or shits on fat women while telling you how great you are for being thin, know it's a matter of days, weeks, months, years until he dumps you for someone "better" in his eyes.
