This should go without saying, but now is not the time to be meeting new men. Men that are option-less right now with no past prospects are alone for a reason. Ideally you should be entertaining people that have already invested in you before this all started. If you find yourself without options then use this time to focus on yourself.

Also, whether or not you’re in quarantine shouldn’t change the fact that you should never be thirsty enough for validation to send a man an explicit photo of yourself. Act like you’re running for president and that the photo could cause a life ending scandal for you. Don’t lower your standards because times are hard.

Try to avoid FaceTime calls that don’t have a set purpose in mind. I won’t get on a video call just to blindly talk to someone unless he gives me a reason to do so, then be the one to hang up when the activity is coming to a close and things are still rolling on a high note.

With that being said, here are some dates I’ve had with men while being on lock down so far that have been creative:

  1. Wrote me a workout routine that I could do with what I had at home, and we did a FaceTime home workout session together.

  2. Delivered a margarita to go kit from a local Mexican restaurant to my house along with some dinner, then he found a YouTube drawing video tutorial and we did a knock off “painting with a twist” inspired video date

  3. Local restaurant was selling meal kits you could get delivered to make their dishes at home. One of the guys sent one to each of our homes then we did a video chat in the kitchen while we both talked, prepared the meals, shared music, compared end results, etc.

  4. Sent me candles and sheet masks and we did a video call pretending like we were having a spa day.

All of these dates incorporated things that I enjoy, that they found a way to enjoy with me while still respecting me, my boundaries, and the current situation.

Don’t let a LV men convince you that a few text messages and an invite to his place at 2am is the best you deserve right now. If a man wants to impress you he will do whatever he can to impress you regardless of what’s going on. Expect nothing less.
