Her name sounded familiar to me so I looked up some news articles. I remember this case because the suspect is Aydin C, a Turkish-Dutch man (I'm Dutch and it was in the news a lot some years ago).

Turns out he was convicted for possession of child p0rn, extortion of 34 minors and assault, and has to spend almost 11 years in prison (maximum amount the judges could give him).

The article also states Canada wanted to prosecute him separately for Amanda's case but I cannot find more details on this.

The fact that he wrote a book while being locked up in which he blames Amanda's parents for her death proves that he is absolutely the lowest scum of the earth, oxygen-wasting trash that exists.

Amanda Todd's mother was handing out Safeway (grocery store) gift cards when the pandemic started. She gave one to me and I cried. She reminded me that there is some good in the world.

Her scrote father, on other hand, is active on dating sites. An older friend of mine was renting a room off of him and he was bragging about all these women he was "snagging". I will forever think he had a hand in what led to her untimely end. He fetishizes pacific Asian women.

I remember her. Poor kid 💔. Could have easily been me if I was more naive at that age as I had many run ins with pedophile men.

Society hates female sexuality so much that they’d rather u die. I doubt she would have been slut shamed to suicide if she were a boy yet male issues & suicide is still taken more seriously.

THIS is why I don't give a single fuck about men feeling uncomfortable about MeToo. I don't care that that they feel "paranoid" around women or are terrified of a "false allegation". This was what it was like before. Everyone dog-piling on a CHILD, victim blaming and slut shaming her. Grown men sharing Drink Bleach memes after her death. Rape allegations were seen as a joke that no one took seriously.

I didn't know this story at all but thanks for sharing. He should get life. He's a pedo, blackmailed, mental abuser and the direct cause of her suicide. I am honestly disturbed that people called her a sl--t.

I was JUST thinking about her recently. This all happened when I was ~13, so we were the same age. I remember her being the butt of SO MANY jokes. It made me sick then and it makes me sicker now. Only 13, just a little kid. She probably still played with her barbies, and grown adults were bullying her to suicide.

She got so much disgusting hate for being suicidal and taken advantage of. She was blamed for everything that happened to her and made fun of for her first failed suicide attempt. I cannot even imagine what her parents had to endure, I hope they've found some peace. So awful.
