Divorces and awful marriages are the norm in poor couples. Stop drinking the Hollywood Kool aid romanticising being poor. Poverty is constant stress and pressure that leaves room for nothing else. You are stressed out and angry and tired, and you snap at everyone. Your spouse, your children. It's not at all that poor people are bad or mean, it's that poverty doesn't leave you room to be nice. Ever seen Parasite? The truest quote in it is "She is rich. She can afford to be nice". You can't afford to be nice 24/24 when you are poor, you don't have the energy for it.

An LVM won't pull together with you to ride the storms when you're poor. He makes it worse.

You're broke with a man like that, it's likely he'll focus on trying to assume a position of control and make him feel more powerful in himself by blaming you.

He'll blame you for not earning enough to fix it on your own / blame you for not 'inspiring' or supporting him to be capable enough to contribute / blame you for spending too much / he'll cheat / abuse you / secretly spend cash on himself for his sole pleasure / insult your appearance, attention level to him or your 'attitude' as the reason he doesn't have an incentive.

He will try to abstain responsibility and manipulate you by claiming to feel emasculated. The implication is its your job to fix that.

If you are poor, DO NOT DATE... as simple as that. Your no.1 priority should be to get out of poverty. It is irresponsible and stupid, what if your partner who also happens to be poor, gets pregnant. Then what??? Did your children sign up to living without the bare necessities and lack of security. They don't get the chance to dream or live a normal life, they'll know that Mommy and Daddy are financially struggling and they'll end up minimising themselves.
