Ha, that’s nowhere near an unpopular opinion. It’s practically a meme at this point.
I hate that stupid trope about how school aged boys “fight it out” with honor when they dislike someone, while girls are these amoral Machiavellian psychological terrorists. Such bullshit.
The worst girl bullies I knew were just petty and insecure. If they went after someone, they at least had a reason to (even if it wasn’t a mature or a logical one, because teenagers). They might have disliked another girl who made them feel inadequate or jealous and talk some shit behind her back, but that didn’t usually cross the line into extreme prolonged bullying. Most of the time this happens in the context of small friend groups, so it doesn’t even spread very far. I have also never known an instance in my personal life of a girl bullying a boy past the second grade.
On the other hand, all the male bullies I came across in my school years were abusive sociopaths at best, and they targeted girls more so than other boys. They took pleasure in being cruel for cruelty’s sake. They were disproportionately vindictive, too. The moment their egos were mildly chafed, they would not stop until the girl who made him feel bad was destroyed.
Teenage boys have always spread the most depraved gossip about girls, sexually and verbally terrorized them, and manipulated and used them. And it’s gotten even worse for this generation, thanks to sexting and universal internet access it’s easy for boys to outright blackmail some poor girl or get revenge for any perceived slight. He can get the entire school in on a targeted harassment campaign.
And if that wasn’t enough, when boys can’t deal with their problems (and virtually none of them experience the same level of harm that girls receive at their hands), they get violent. Sometimes they’ll murder girls who reject them. Other times they go out and commit school shootings. Most of they time they never even target anyone who aggrieved them, they just indiscriminately murder innocent bystanders.
But yeah, girls are like mean and stuff. Won’t somebody think about the boys? :(

There were plenty of girls who I didn't even know who "didn't like me" for whatever reason, but they weren't active bullies. Boys were the ones making things up and physically assaulting girls. A guy on my bus I had literally never spoken to before told all of his friends he saw me fuck three different dudes at a party. Which was hilarious for two reasons - first, he wasn't even invited to that party. Second, I hadn't even kissed a boy at that point.

I had a similar experience. We had an after school pep rally in high school one night. Towards the end I went to get my books from my locker and was pushed in to the boys bathroom by 4 guys. Nothing happened but when I ran out there were several girls there. The next day I found out that they told the girls I was in there giving one of them a blowjob. I never even saw a penis before but suddenly I was the school’s biggest slut. The girls may have helped spread the rumor but the boys started it and violated my autonomy me forcing me in to the bathroom in the first place.
Also, I had two girls apologize to me in my senior year for the things they’ve said about me. No boy ever apologized. Bra snapping and butt slapping, rumors of being a slut or not a Virgin, etc all stemmed from the boys. Not one apologized. They never grew.

Ugh, I think nearly every girl who survived adolescence received the double standard treatment at some point. I was apparently never a bigger “slut” than when I was a virgin who turned a guy down.
I can also confirm that if another girl didn’t like me for whatever reason I would usually hear about it secondhand. We would just stay out of each other’s way and nothing ever came of it. If it was a friend we eventually talked it out and made up, or we both could sense that the friendship had just naturally run it’s course and we weren’t compatible anymore. Nothing dramatic really happened then either, we simply drifted apart.
Ignoring someone you don’t like and moving on? Not trying to force someone to like you or punish them if they don’t?! What a concept! The manosphere could benefit from learning to develop enough emotional maturity to match the average teenage girl.

I could say a thing or two about this fair "fight it out" bullshit too. While I had one girl who called me names and tried small tricks on me and I genuinely couldn't stand her presence, but I had one boy who stepped on my feet in sandals with force so one of my toenails would rip open, I had a boy in kindergarten(!) who kicked me in the stomach totally out of the blue (we never spoke, he was in a different group) before a big kindergarten play we performed for the parents, I had two boys in primary school, one of them called me names all day every day and the other just talked about me behind my back, they followed me home once, cornered me about two houses away from home and they both kicked my shins and my thighs for like fifteen minutes nonstop. I had a boy in secondary(?) school who always asked me sexual things, grabbed my butt during PE, and who sit beside me to kick me in my shins (what is that obsession?) all throughout the current lesson so I couldn't concentrate. When the teacher asked me once why am I crying (I was fed up and I couldn't control it) I didn't tell her but a girl sitting close to us did (she was a lone wolf so she had nothing to lose). I was harrassed nonstop since that day by girls and boys alike because "I made him get a warning by the principal and he's in enough trouble with his parents because of his grades" etc. Before that, there were several other boys talking aloud about me and how they pity me because I'm so ugly, how I'm so immature that I sure don't have my period, several things about my literal vagina and how it must look or even feel, etc. Don't tell me how girls are the worst. The worst they did was that they called me ugly to appeal to the boys (which is pretty awful), but it's miniscule compared to the constant shit I received.

Oh gosh yes. When I was 14 this boy who liked me at school spread rumours around that we had slept together. I had people calling me a slag when I had not done anything. He made my life hell and I heard from another girl she heard he had raped me. No girl had ever hurt me like that.

It’s the same false equivalency that people use when they try to claim that feminism is “reverse sexism” or something.
Women are just not taking any more shit from men and calling it out, with the end goal of men improving their behavior so women don’t have to suffer horrific human rights abuses at their hands.
Whereas every “men’s movement” pretty much started out as a circle-jerk of bitter, resentful entitlement about not being able to control women that eventually devolved into an insane cult of self-reinforcing delusion and occasionally literal terrorism where women are no longer regarded as human. To them we’re either an inherently inferior servant class that needs to be properly enslaved or the all-powerful oppressors of men, whichever narrative is more convenient at the time.
