I used to play this game! I also got unwanted messages after uploading a selfie as a profile picture. I quickly took down my picture and replaced it with a picture of something random (can’t remember if it was food or a Pokémon). I remember feeling stupid for uploading a picture of myself (even though I was just smiling and normally clothed), like I brought it upon myself. Pretty sure I was like 19 or so?

My first thought was to replace my picture with a cat or a flower, but because those things are traditionally associated with women I decided on something like a burger or Geodude

Also, why are they making a distinction between trolls and the "men's rights" activists? They’re the same thing lmao.

So, Words With Friends is actually a known hunting ground that cheaters use for finding affair partners, too. It’s up there with a middle aged man using snap chat or kik. It looks innocuous and innocent for a guy to be playing online Scrabble for hours, so his wife often doesn’t catch on. A friend of mine discovered several of her husband’s affairs were started in this app. And several folks in an infidelity forum reported the same.
