This is so shocking and depressing, I didn't realize it was this bad in the early 80s 😔 What is wrong with so many men? Why are they aroused by seeing women being practically tortured on film?

I don't think there is anything wrong with sex itself, but why do so many of them enjoy watching, fantasizing about, and even acting out violent and degrading sex? Like I literally don't understand, can someone please explain this to me. What is the root cause? Why do so many of them hate us so much that they are sexually aroused by abusing us?

As someone who’s never watched or sought out porn, it’s shocking to me to learn that it really is this violent and degrading towards women and that it’s been considered so normal to the men (and some women) who watch it!

Notice how in the video's interview that the question was something like: It isn't it inevitable that boys get sexually curious and find their dad's Playboy magazine to look through? Sure, but men made that normal. That's not to say it IS normal behavior. Because that question suggests that only boys get sexually curious. Don't girls go through the same thing at about the same age? And yet, you don't see similar lines about girls finding their mom's men porno magazines to look at because a large part of pornography is aimed at men, not women. Why is that?

I know there are good men out there because I am married to one and friends with others, but even with that being said about my own personal life, it still shocks me to see this man actually articulate and care about women. It took me a moment to really process that it was a man talking about how porn hurts men AND women, because I am just so used to men justifying their crap.

A friend and I, back in junior high, found her mom’s Playgirl stash and would howl with laughter over them. It wasn’t a sexual discovery so much as a way to laugh at the desperation that pornography caters to. Years before that I had stumbled upon my step-dad’s Playboy and Hustler mags in the attic, and it was a much different experience. First of all I felt like looking at them was somehow tarnishing my very soul. But also I felt even at that young age that the female form commands a sort of reverence and respect. Like these are stellar examples of the human body and you just want to jizz on them? You see beauty that touches you deeply and you just want to destroy it? I had so many feelings and yes I’m queer af but I didn’t want to continue looking at those magazines because I felt like it wasn’t appropriate. Not just because I was young but because there was some indescribable vulnerability and power in nudity that I felt was none of my fucking business to consume.
