In my experience it’s because someone else came along but they don’t want to break up with you so they don’t feel like the bad person that they are. When they become involved with the other person that’s when you feel them become distant. They were just hoping that you’d get tired of them pulling away that you’d break up with them.I saw a survey that was done on how women and men view breaking up. The women preferred to be direct and just break up. The major of the men just do the slow fade to avoid any responsibility. They also choose not the end things so they can come back if needed.
