The other day I saw a comment written by another one of...these, that said similar things to this with the addition that this sub supports "raping men". I meeeann. Just think about how much of an insane lie that is. It's too big to even wrap your mind around it.

The real reason why is that Reddit started out as a bro-fest of programmers and developed around that culture. Women oriented subs that eventually developed like TwoX and feminism got easily taken over by men. Lots of evidence for this. So women on these subs are being manipulated by men. Rad-fem views have basically been banned from Reddit in the recent ban wave.

There is a sub that is about blatant misogyny and I got banned there because the main mod is "kinky as hell" and won't have kink shaming because no one is going to "police her vagina". She is in serious denial of how her behaviour perpetuates female violence.

The second mod is a huge pickmeshia and despite not liking misogyny will still behave like a massive pick me in all other ways. She is the most sensible of the mods but fails to realise that she gets all of her self validation off men which is why she appears naked in her profile pictures from time to time.

The sub had a massive cull earlier in the year when the discussion of violent kinks was banned. Women who were not part of this sub were ultimately upset about this ban and subsequently left the sub on their own accord and the rest got banned or silenced through threat of a ban.

This sub gets misinterpreted and dismissed because then no-one needs to actually think and reflect on the ideas here. This place is full of harsh truths that men find uncomfortable to deal with, so they revert to dismissing us with a few well know misogynistic caricatures: the women here are dismissed simultaneously as materialistic gold diggers AND bitter, lonely, ugly women who could never 'get a man'.

The lessons in this sub are fully egalatarian. It insists that men do their part in a relationship, that they bring equal value to the table. Unequal relationships are so prevalent in our society, that they've become the norm. What's worse is that the majority of people delude themselves into believing that they are equal, because women doing most of the work is so commonplace that it doesn't even get noticed. Women will often delude themselves on this count too, in order to protect their own egos because no-one likes to be aware that they're being constantly taken advantage of, especially by someone they love.

This sub calls out the people willing to feed into the delusion that unequal relationships are fine and that we should maintain the status quo, both men (L/NVM) and women (pickmes). A lot of us are still filtering out these damaging ideas in our own heads, including myself.

It also highlights the prevalence of commonplace violence against women, from the overt (stalking, DV and harrassment) which the majority of people agree is horrific, to the covert (porn, BDSM) which people think is extreme to object to.

These are the real, deep lessons that I find lifechanging.
