I'm looking for a paper I saw on Reddit about a year ago, possibly on this sub. In the study, the researchers presented participants with hypothetical scenarios in which researchers discovered politically incorrect findings and asked them whether those findings should be suppressed or published. Specifically, participants were presented with three scenarios: one in which researchers found evidence that men make better leaders than women, one in which researchers found evidence that women make better leaders than men, and one in which researchers found evidence that there are genetic differences between racial groups that explain differences in intelligence.

The study found that scholars were more willing to suppress findings that were politically incorrect than findings that were politically correct. The authors suggest that this may indicate a problem with the current academic culture, where there is a fear of publishing research that goes against the prevailing political and social norms.

Any ideas?
