A while ago, back when I was much more into having online debates about social issues (I do that a lot less now, due to poor mental health) I noticed a disturbing trend: often, when someone brought up a discussion of a men's issue, the response was not to engage with the discussion at all, but instead attack whomever had mentioned the issue for 'redirecting the discussion'. For instance, I recall a discussion about male sexual abuse being criticized because it redirected the discussion away from more important issues, such as the sexual abuse of women and girls. Another example I vaguely recall was something about female aggression, and rather than engage with any of the points mentioned, the responses were largely criticisms of the OP for trying to divert the conversation away from male aggression.

I was chatting with a friend yesterday and this phenomenon came up. She said she'd never observed it, and I couldn't find any examples quickly enough to show her before the conversation moved on. So if anyone knows what I'm talking about and has any examples they can share, please do so I can pass them on to my friend.
