Male gender roles are misandristic in my opinion, so is the draft, domestic abuse laws, valuing men as a factor of their wealth, mgm, gay men being 6x as likely to be hate crimed as lesbian women because social deviance among men is much more harshly punished than among women, excluding female on male rape from rape definitions, 94% of police violence victims being male, sexism in judicial courts, in certain countries the death penalty only being allowed for men, male physical and mental health being undervalued, the UN only giving aid to women when working in disaster zones.

All of these things are indicative of societal norms that existed long before feminism, and they're all more widespread and normalized than feminist misandry. The biggest effect that feminism had on them is that men weren't allowed to oppose conservative misandry without being labeled conservative themselves even though they clearly are not. And if they went ahead and opposed it anyways they would also be labeled gay by conservatives, so they would be hated by both sides.

Misandry is a lot older than feminism. You could say that feminism has kept it alive when a gender progressivism movement should have erased it by now, and I would agree. The problem I have with feminism is absolutely not what it says in regards to women's progressivism. The problem I have with it is that gender progressivism should have been the movement, not feminism. It should have been a movement for the eradication of gender roles, not the eradication of only women's gender roles. It should have been a movement for complete legal equality and the removal of gendered legislation, not for the removal of only the gendered legislation that harms women.

I like what feminism has done for women. I hate what it hasn't done for men.

All this isn't to say that feminist misandry is trivial or anything, but in my opinion the main focus ought to be raising awareness about conservative misandry, and feminist misandry will disappear with it as people realize the significance of what they're saying.
