I'm just glad that people are gonna have to face the reality that men's activists aren't necessarily conservative reactionaries just hating on feminism. TheTinMen is good for that too.

Very happy to see this sub growing. When I first came here I was a formerly disenchanted social justice advocate who was putting his feelers out there.

Everyone here is awesome and I want to thank all of you for genuine concern that you have about mens and boys issues.

I’m not even really left wing (at least I don’t identify that way) but earnest, honest, and sane discussion of male issues is hard to come by, sadly, if there’s any discussion at all. So I’m happy to be a recent addition to this group and I appreciate learning the “other” side’s take on issues we both care about. Thanks for building a good, healthy community.

I might not even be as left-leaning as some people here. But this is one of the few places I can talk frankly about things like loneliness and not immediately get called an incel--the (mostly) intelligent conversation is just the icing on the cake.

Of course, I appreciate the huge interest in this sub very much. It is by far the largest community I know that is left-wing, but critical towards modern intersectional feminism. To me, that also proves men's issues are underrated within that criticism.

At the same time, the enormous growth in two years causes more or less a continuous 'start from scratch'. Many posts are filled with shocking and important, but not very new or surprising, examples of sexism against men in our society; or with the same discussions again and again: nature vs nurture; if the dating scene is really messed up for men; our attitude towards feminism and towards the MRM; if and how this sub should be more explicitly leftist and anticapitalist, etc. Some time ago there were interesting posts about varied and original subjects like Snowwhite, Peter Pan etc. Either they don't appear anymore, or get drowned between the other posts. Also, thoughts about why things are the way they are between men and women instead of indignantly stating that they are that way, are scarce and/or repetitive; either 'both genders suffer by imposed roles' or evolutionary determinism.

Maybe there should be another, smaller, sub for deeper discussions. Maybe, on the other hand, we should keep them here and accept they get a bit forlorn here, as long as still 5 or 10 people are interested in attending them.

I joined when it was still under 1,000 and I'm glad to see it's continuing to grow into something respectable. I think the left has been in desperate need of validation for ALL groups.

Yeah!!!! I'm very happy to be part of the growing of this sub! Hopefully one day we get to bigger numbers. Everyone deserves to see our subreddit and what we are about.
