This is a tragic situation, the only thing that guy can do to have a little bit of self respect is leave his wife. Allthough that might hurt as hell and utterly destroy him, staying with someone who betrayed you that terribly, and also only telling it now since she got caught tells alot, would be a nail in the coffin of any self respect. You cannot forgive her for this betrayel atleast not by staying, eventually you might forgive her to have you own piece of mind but you cannot forgive her by staying. I would still love the childeren as my own since they did nothing wrong. But the wife is fully responsible for one of the worst betrayels. Leave her, or kick her out, and slowly start to heal, he is a bit older so he might suffer for a large portion of the life he has left, but its better to suffer and restore your selfworth then to just give it up because you are afraid to suffer.
