From schools jacking up their tuition because banks are pretty loose on giving high interest loans to teenagers. Not everyone is capable of opening a savings account or even cares to. Many irresponsible people are having kids and the kid ends up raising themselves and making wrong choices.
Shit, I have 2 cats and one dog and that's enough for me, I spend on average $300/m to keep them clean, happy and fed. And vet costs: fuggedaboutit. My point is people should care about their kids as much as I care for my pets, but they don't. They just shove an iPad in front of their faces and that's 21st Century parenting right there.

You'll always be working for someone. If you work a traditional job, you work for your CEO. If you own your own business, you're a slave to the customers.
Degrees are still useful (strictly speaking STEM for now) and are really good investments if you drastically improve your earning potential.
The risks outweighs the benefits. If you do neither you end up on the street and die penniless. I could have gotten a degree, have a better paying job but with a high interest student loan and live off credit cards like the rest of America, but I chose to take risks and be my own boss. It's not easy in the slightest but I'm not drowning in debt which is way better than the alternative.

Other than the "dying alone" part, I completely agree with you. I personally get so much meaning from life owing to being a father. We're biological entities and other than survival, our primary "purpose" is reproduction. Really, even survival is subordinate to, and for the purpose of, procreation. I'm not saying that one should be a slave to it and, indeed, there's a lot to be said about not giving into biological imperatives which is perhaps the humanizing thing we can do. But I can't help but think that not having kids should be part of what it means to be MGTOW.

I like kids and I like the idea of having them. However, I completely understand my childfree friends and would never judge them for it.
If you don't want kids don't let anyone try to guilt or shame you into having them. We have enough people already, we don't need more people who's parents didn't want them.
If someone asks who you think is going to take care of you when your older, you can tell them that with the money you'll save not paying to raise children/buy a huge house/paying for divorce you'll be able to easily afford to hire in home health care. Maybe a cute 27 year old nurse who's willing to bring you bourbon and wear low cut tops while changing your diaper and watching 40 year old re-runs of Rick and Morty.

Tbf we are at the verge of levelling our population . China is already in decline (accelerated due to their one child) and most major countries reached decline years ago with their main population and have their population increase due to immigrants and immigrants having more children. Japan is a model example, but Japan isn't an isolated case, it's what is happening around the world. Singapore has tried to bribe people into having children and it doesn't work, and all 5 BRIC countries are reaching that point too. The population should level at 10 billion. Whilst that is a lot of people. It's not close to the estimated population collapse of 14+ billion (which has no way to be sustainable on earth) . At 10 bill it's possible to live sustainably, as easy as it is to live sustainably now, the increased labour is roughly proportional to the increased man power.

And having kids at an older age, while getting on with maturity, also means that you have less number of years to work and support your family. Might be more financially prepared, yes, but that's only for raising your child. How prepared will you be for your retirement??

Not a lot. There's housing costs because the apartment isn't big enough for a family so a mortgage is a fucking death contract (it's in the name!), there's extra food cost you never used to buy, there's toiletries you never used to buy and diapers go quickly, transportation to clinics and school so that's extra gas you're spending on, you have to buy clothes and shoes which are not cheap and they grow out of them quickly, health care for the child, daycare and schools are expensive as fuck, a whole new set of costs on an income that suits only me. You're dreaming if you think someone's gonna magically shit money when a kid comes in.
