I’m glad I found this sub early. I’m 19, young and stupid, but learned very quickly that these next 10 years are the most crucial. Taking my finances very seriously now and don’t have to worry about paying the pussy tax.

Yes, men earn more than women. But what is better, earning or spending? Women vastly outspend men and vastly outspend their own earnings. They get money from parents (earned mostly by fathers), they get money from government, they get money from boyfriends at every date,they get money from engagement, and during marriage and during and after divorce. The current situation is like slaveholders blaming their slaves for the “cotton picking gap.” If you simply focused on how much revenue the slaves generated bs the slave owners you would say that they earned 99 percent of the plantations revenues but were only 75 percent of the plantation population. Unfair! But of course that would ignore that all the revenue the slaves generate was transferred to the slave owners. Similarly, most of the lifetime earnings of men accrue to the women around them. Men earn, women spend and women complain about the earning gap but ignore the spending gap. Worse, as the earning gap closes, they complain about the loser men who can’t support their spending.
