When we let someone be proud of a mental illness like bipolar, we've reached the point of no return. Being bipolar is nothing to be proud of. It means you're a dangerous and unstable person. All the others are going to do nothing but destroy google. No company can and will be successful if you let people who act on behalf of feelings and inclusiveness basically make up your work force. Many companies that have been around for well over 100 years didn't last that long because they were progressive, they lasted that long because they hired only the best and not the ones who believed feelings are important or had a diversity quota to fill.

There are a few things going on here.

Let's start with the obvious, infomercials like this are nothing more than marketing acquisition tools. They want to tap into the "freak show" market. So they make themselves look "freak show" friendly. At least more "freak show" friendly than the competition.

And yes it is as trivial as that. We already know people buy into a brand and not the product. Apple has a cult following and it doesn't matter how shit their products are the same people keep buying them. On the other hand, you get people who will never try a Windows phone and who continually keep buying Android. They believe they're getting customization. What they're really getting is "What's not working" roms. So it stands to reason that a "freak" will end up buying a Google device purely because he/she/it believes that Google is somehow "freak" friendly. And that's the start, she'll tell all her other "freak friends" and even normal people will end up hearing her marketing pitch on why her Google device is better because of Google support for Lesbians and so called fucking trans genders. Talk about free advertisement.

Now you might think, well surely this would alienate normal people who despise all this social justice warrior feminist trans/gay/bi black lives matter bullshit. Basically the collection of crazies. Well no. See the normal people are rational, they're just out to buy a measly product, they don't really give 2 fucks about Google or Apple or Microsoft - They want a fucking phone. Tech enthusiasts too aren't going to jump shit over this. Who would throw away their Android phone over this shit?

Even if you don't own any products by said piece of the shit company - Well you still got to hear their name thanks to this, even if you're straight.

It's just win win win for them.
