Sleeping alone is great and some mornings I wake up to one of my cats cuddled up to me! I remember one morning waking up when I had a girlfriend. She was 49 at the time. I woke up, took a look at her and was shocked. Somehow her facial skin had started sagging significantly and was all shiny. She looked like she was in her 60s! I'd seen her many mornings before but something was different this morning - I never figured out why that girl looked soo different that morning. Turning 30 this year, divorced last year. Yesterday was the first Valentine's Day (*barf*) that I spent single, and it was magical. Spent the whole day alone, not getting bothered by some harpies wanting gifts and shit. One girl, I was talking to tried ruining the day, asking me for a gift, yet she'd told me earlier she has a boyfriend. I blocked her on the spot. Slept at 8 pm woke today at 6 am. A solid 10 hours of sleep.

I cannot even sleep properly with anyone lingering in my home like for example: My maid comes at house early morning at 7:00 AM and its annoying when she works at kitchen, coughing, making sound with utensils and I cannot get that last sweet half an hour sleep before getting ready for work. I loved it when I was alone in my apartment cooking by myself but it got tiring so hired a maid. But now I feel not so free with her being in house for around 3 hours a day.

Now imagine having a gf or wife with kids. No Thanks !

I sleep on a futon because I don't have space for anything else in my shed. It's comfortable enough for me through. As nice as sleeping stretched out on my double was its not worth what it would cost in rent to go back to that.

This culture preaches relationships and sex so fucking much, we make single people out to be weird, frigid, creepy, possible sex offenders, etc. Why? Why is that?
I see people, young and old, getting into meaningless relationship after meaningless relationship. Some of the younger ones don't even give themselves a fucking month to take a break before getting into another shitstorm relationship. Better get a girlfriend so your grandparents don't think you're queer! Better get a boyfriend so you can suck him for resources while still insisting you're a strong independent woman!
The reason I stay out of relationships anymore is because today's women are so fucking needy. We teach them not to be accountable for anything they do because someone else will fix it. I swear every single woman I've had a conversation with has a story about how they totaled a (sometimes new!) vehicle with either no idea how it happened or admission that it was their fault for being careless. That's the one word that I'd use to sum up American women actually, careless. It's always something with them.

I got a futon but rather sleep on the floor. Idk why it's just more comfortable for me. Im doing good in college (CS) and have enough money to buy me 10 high end mattresses if I wanted too.

Rewind a couple years ago where I wasn't thinking straight and almost settled with a single mom who cheated on her bf with me. Thank God I backed out of that. Id be hating life right now

I had a futon for my main sofa for years, comfy af, even if I had no bed it was a comfy bed. Only reason I got rid of it was I got a house and wanted a comfy sofa because by then I could afford one. If I had not improved my finances I would still be happy with my futon. I replaced the mattress part every 5 years but it did me good.
