If you do the proper math with Mexico's infections and deaths the suposedly death rate is around 10%. If you do the inverse with the global death rate, then Mexico's infections should be around 7 million.

I know it's not the point of the post but i just did the math and found it interesting.

It's either that the average Mexican health is very poor and/or the Goverment is lying to it's population.

everyone calculates the death rate wrong. The right way:

[deaths / (deaths + recovered)] * 100%

[698,554 / (698554 + 11,663,601)] * 100%

=5.65%

No, the covid has a much higher mortality rate than officially reported.

Moreover, the danger comes mainly from the risk of mutation of the virus. Don't believe that SARS was stopped by man, it died out on its own after a bad mutation. Among other things, mankind has been lucky. But will we get lucky twice?

Just as a side note though, covid-19 fatality rate among those confirmed to have contracted it in the US is between 3.5% and 5% on average over this year so far. There are a few countries that have lower numbers (such as around 1%) and others with much higher rates (such as even 12% earlier on this year). It varies though. In my county, just 0.2% have contracted it so far with just one fatality coming out to a 0.25% fatality rate among those that contracted it.
