If you're a decent average dude, even a little above average, you have virtually no chances in online dating. It makes perfect sense too. If a woman matches with a thousand guys on tinder, she has her pick of the litter. Why wouldn't she select the ripped Greek God over you? Even if by all objective standards you're as attractive as she is (or even a bit more), the selection force is with her.

It boils down to this, men are too thirsty. And it's a self-reinforcing loop. As men get rejected more and more, they get even more thirsty, and so on and so forth. We're at a point where 1/10 pinnepeds get more action than 6/10 men. Not even just action, but any sort of contact at all. This trend will accelerate until the natural state of the 80/20 rule is achieved.

If we were to cut the bullshit what happened here was:

women in the 90's still went after the top 40-50% or so of men, leaving some dudes completely celibate. The internet didn't give them that many options like it does today.
The internet became popular in the early 2000's, and celibate men could go for women way beneath their SMV to get laid at least once a year.
Now even those women realize they can easily go after the top 30-40% of men, as long as they're not too obese.
