if the roles were reversed, there would be protests everywhere. This kind of thing really get's on my nerves when it's either sex though.

Well, to tell the truth. Men are the ones who do 95% of the rioting in soccer. Not too many female hooligans.

Of course, if there are no men around to keep women in check, in the long run they might create trouble, too.

Of course, we should recognize that in general the sexes are not the same.

For the same reason, men are more common in political and economic leadership.

Actually, Fenerbahce had had all their fans banned for a pitch invasion in a previous game and were supposed to play the match behind closed doors - i.e. no crowd at all. However the Turkish FA were persuaded to allow women and children to attend so as not to punish the players too much by forcing them to play without home support.

And it was very successful. Harp on about mens' rights all you like, the absence of men at this game also led to the total absence of any kind of violence, at a stadium notorious for aggressive crowds.

I assume they are making up for the lost revenue by jacking up the price of non-alcoholic wine coolers/hard lemonade and making the womens bathrooms coin-ops.

Seems like a win-win. Men can watch the game at the bar while getting as drunk and rowdy as they please and not have to put up with their nagging wives.
