Besides, in the UK rape and statutory rape (Rape of a child under 13) only applies to male perps. It would have to be compared against 'Causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity' or 'Sexual activity with a child', which I'm sure they will conveniently omit if they do carry out a study.

Even the media refuses to call it rape or at least sexual assault which doesn't help.

So many more abusive females are protected and hiden by a community that either refuses to see the violence of women, or considers sexual abuse by women to be less serious or even a benefit to men and boys. It would be an interesting topic for study, that's for sure.

My guess, likely influenced by societal biases, is that more male teachers have romantic interest in their students, but more female teachers have success in developing those romantic interests into actual relationships. That just seems logical to me because men are typically attracted to younger women while women are typically attracted to older men.

Anecdotally, in my area, I feel like I see more cases where the teacher is male. But I don't think that's really relevant as I think that female teachers are more likely to "get away with it" than male teachers. That goes back to societal biases and seeing teen girls as victims but seeing teen boys as participants. If someone has suspicion about a male teacher, they're likely to say something and it will eventually result in the male teacher getting caught. But suspicions about a female teacher? Less likely to report anything because that's every school boy's dream, right?

If an adult person has sent unsolicited nudes to a minor, make that public to shame that person. Because the media itself will not shame her if it's a woman perpetrator. FFS they don't even call it rape, they call it "had sex"
