Who's the fucking troll?

Feminist makes genocidal comments advocating the mass murder of men? You go girl! No trolling there. Nope. None at all.

Men respond by rightfully calling her a fucking cunt? = Troll. Call big daddy patriarchy and have the man lose his livelihood or arrested for "harassment."

Feminists have long argued that if women ruled the world it would become kinder, gentler and more just. What we are seeing instead is a complete abandonment of any notion of fairness, justice and indeed compassion towards men and boys. Feminists are relishing their power, and the result is exceedingly ugly. They seem hell bent on proving all of the worst stereotypes about females, which has the ironic effect of making "patriarchy" seem entirely necessary. Women need to rise up against these man-haters who claim to speak on behalf of womankind.

Feminists are literally acting like kindergarten children running to tell the teacher that a boy was mean to them. Except this time they are not looking for the boy (or girl) to receive a stern talking to by the teacher; they are contacting employers and trying to get these people fired from their jobs. For what? For disagreeing with them or using salty language, usually in response to outrageous misandry if not eliminationist hate speech toward the entire male sex. Lest there be any doubt, these ladies are not under the misapprehension that they are powerless; they are fully cognizant of their power and are trying to ruin men's lives simply for hurting their feelings. This is the behavior of a spoiled, gleefully sadistic child, not a "strong and independent" adult.

Next up: censoring the World Wide Web to protect feminist fee fees.

That one is not that easy

The most obvious answer is, of course: It pays of for them. Trolls usually do not care what the topic is, they only care about the response. Trolling a "famous" feminist promises a huge payoff (offendednes+publicity)
This is not about some feminist, this is about Clementine Ford, who got someone fired over an insult (a standard she does not hold herself to)

"Why do so many hardcore trolls target women..." - I swear the research done into online abuse showed that men were by far the overwhelming victim of all types bar rape threats. I think the difference is that men tend to have the reaction of "oh, it's just kids. While women, and these women tend to be femnisists, say "Oo, I can gain publicity out of this"

Ah yes, the BBC defending Clementine Ford, how predictable, as ever people are already rightly calling out this bullshit article here so I don't think I really can add anything more other than what a cunt these feminists are.

They're definitely out to make it look like the feminists are under deliberate attack now. They'll probably do some sort of propaganda campaign claiming feminist activists are all being targeted by misogynist trolls on the internet, too many high profile feminists are being told they're cunts.

By the way, this looks like Laughing Witch all over again, except more high profile this time, but it's interesting, they still keep trying to use the "Oh they're just horrible internet trolls" line whenever this happens. However with the amount of people getting angry at them they won't be able to keep this excuse up forever, it isn't just going to be a niche group that's getting pissy with them it will be almost everybody.

Probably because most feminists are just looking for an excuse to feel outraged & offended. Trolling them is simply giving them what they want & therefore could easily be viewed as "gentlemanly" conduct.

The correct question should be why powerful feminists target men. They do it with much better and real damage: people losing jobs (Dong-gate, ClementineFord-gate) or lose jobs and spent fortune fighting in courts.

A good deal of feminism is simply a "minority" wanting more and more. No one wants equality if they have a choice. Everyone wants all the cookies, period. Feminists make themselves targets. And not every response is "Trolling".

They don't. The majority of online harassment is suffered by men.

Pew data proves it. Pew, like everyone, attempts to say 'but the womenz!' by insinuating that women receive more severe forms of harassment, apparently because Pew thinks that sex(ual messages) is worse than violence(aka, death threats, etc). But the data itself is irrefutable.

Podium removed. Do not accept 'women are victims!' messages where they are not correct. And while tangentially related, do not accept the demonization of sex, or the inflation of sex-based insult/trauma.

B) if you're a genuine troll, feminists are what you might call a target-rich environment. Eminently easy to rile, and there are giant neon bullseyes everywhere. Of course they get trolled.

Typically, there's no such thing as a troll - there's simply:

An arguement stategy that consists in making your opponent angry.
An arguement strategy that consists in being shocking or bombastic.

These are best applied to people who have taken certain positions and already have a following.

To counter this the victim of these types of arguements usually employs:

An arguement stategy that consists in placing the arguement into an odious category.
An arguement strategy that consists in being insulting/rude.

All of these strategies can be satisfied with name calling and they often are on the internet.
